One of the things we’re most proud about Mountain View HR is that we’ve built our model to exist as either stand-alone HR, or, as something you could use to support your current HR staff.

The hurdles coming at human resource professionals this year are many, so it’s no surprise that a Paychex survey concluded that 7 out of 10 HR professionals said it was one of the most difficult of their career.  From managing remote staff, hybrid offices, remote onboarding to mental health, employee retention, high turnover all while considering diversity, inclusion & equality, health & safety, and government mandates.  For those of you who have HR built into your business, there’s no doubt they have solidified their spot at the table as an integral part of your organization.

For some companies, your HR person might be a qualified professional, and for others, it could be someone who has become an expert over the years. Either way, their knowledge has no doubt been relied upon as they learned the ins and outs of new rules, managed evolving expectations and responded to the emotional fall-out of all this change.

As an owner reflecting back on this past year, you might have noticed how much new information your HR support had to deal with – They faced a steep learning curve, often with no one else to go to for answers or support. You might also see that your HR person showing signs of burn out.

When considering Mountain View HR, we don’t want to replace the HR person that you trust and rely on, but we would like to help them.  When owners who already have HR approach us, most are looking for one of two things:

  1. Confidential junior HR administrative support for bigger jobs, that frees up time for their HR manager to deal with strategy and higher-level business objectives. (ex. seasonal lay-offs, payroll) Or;

  2. Expertise or Specialization from a more senior HR business partner to help with a particularly complex, or sensitive issue. (ex. harassment or government mandates)

Integrated HR offers access to a whole HR Department, so while you hire just one person, you can benefit from access to more senior staff for complex issues.  We also have “Surge Support” which provides access to a Junior HR professional who can help with more administrative tasks that are time consuming yet require confidentiality.

A little bit of help can make a big difference, and doesn’t need to up-end your current systems. If you want to talk about how we could support your team to function at it’s best, drop us a line and we can discuss what solutions would work best for you.
